After I dye it I throw it in the dryer and it comes out beautiful, no need for ironing. When I use it on a quilt, I iron fusible web to the back, cut out my shape, lay it on my quilt top and hold a hot steam iron over it, very close, but not touching. That seems to melt the fusible enough to adhere it.
