Same Place, Different Day

A week later we went back to Mer Bleue Bog while the sun was shining. The colours were still glorious.

I am working on getting back into the studio. It has been a while and I am out of practice. I mixed up some dyes tonight to create fabric for a new idea.

  1. Beautiful photos Elaine. This is the type of photography I love too, but who knew there was actually a course in contemplative photography? It was a peaceful and inspiring experience just to peruse your photos. Thank you. Hmm, perhaps a course in contemplative photography and then an art quilt based on one of the photos?

  2. Thank you Ingrid. I am glad you found the images peaceful ... that is what I am aiming for. I will not be teaching Contemplative Photography. I only have a 5-day course under my belt, and am not an expert. I am not even really a photographer (my technical knowledge of my camera leaves a bit to be desired), but just a person who takes photographs. I would highly recommend John McQuade, who I took the class with. He also taught at Haliburton this past summer, and will likely be there again this coming summer. He is co-author of the following book:
