It's a Celebration!!

Join me in my celebration of my tenth and fifth anniversaries!  This month is my tenth year of teaching and the tenth year of selling Elaine Quehl's Hand-dyed Fabrics.  It also happens to be my fifth anniversary this month ... five years since I escaped my day job to do all this full-time.  While cleaning out my closet on New Year's Day I culled the business suits, dress pants and blouses that I have been keeping just in case I needed to go for a job interview.

Tonight in celebration I gave away a copy of "Art Quilt Portfolio: The Natural World" and a meter of hand-dyed fabric at my lecture/trunk show at the Ottawa Valley Quilters Guild.

Stay tuned for more give-aways on my blog this month.  Just warning you ahead of time!!  The first person to post a message to my blog when I announce the give-away will be the winner!

    1. Thanks so much. Actually, I had just started a new job a few weeks before I became full-time. This new job made me feel like I had jumped off a cliff, or that I might jump off a cliff if I didn't escape it. Fortunately I had several gigs coming up so I knew I wouldn't be without any income. The rest is history.

  4. Elaine enjoyed your talk and show last night at the OVQG Jan 8th meeting. I am looking to expand and move away from just making bed quilts. You are an inspiration. I look forward to taking some of your classes when we return from the our time south.
