Quilting Arts June/July 2014 Issue Available in Canada/New Northcott Line

Just to let readers know that the June/July issue of Quilting Arts Magazine, with my profile interview, is now available at news stands in Canada. I picked one up at Chapters on Saturday night.

Today I am sorting through hundreds of poppy photographs I've taken over the years. I need to come up with some sketches for my next Northcott line of fabric. Yes, the theme will be poppies, plus a luscious palette of mottled fabrics based on my hand-dyed fabrics. Just sharing a little poppy inspiration today.

  2. Your cover was waiting for me when I got home last night; so looking forward to reading it. You deserve all the attention that comes your way. (I remember asking you, about 7 years ago, whether quilting and dyeing were your full-time job. At the time you didn't think it possible...)

  5. Congratulations again, Elaine! I await your poppy fabric line with 'bated breath, as we are now in the midst of the centennary of WWI and (currently) can't find much (if anything) in the way of poppy fabric!

    1. Yes I suppose poppies are associated with Remembrance Day in a lot of people's minds Margaret. I did not think of that at all when I created my poppy quilts. They were about seizing joy.
